This program is designed for those individuals (no specific degree requirements) who wish to become conversant with the rich theoretical and historical tapestry of psychoanalysis.

  1. A two-year series of lectures and readings organized to ground participants in basic models, controversies, and consonances within psychoanalysis.
  2. Participants will be granted admission through an interview process that will include a discussion about reasons for attending.
  3. While there is no required evidence of completion or excellence within the lecture series, a certificate of completion will be furnished to those who complete the two-year series.

Possible credit for some courses, in either the TiPIT track or the primary analytic candidates’ track, will be so designated in the lecture offerings.

The following courses are offered in blocks of ten weeks, with each class meeting for 90 minutes on Monday mornings at 8:00am (EST).
